PI Day – State of the Community Happy Hour – March 14, 2019
6pm to 7:30pm at 1010 W. Church St, Orlando FL 32805
2019 marks TEN years since POLIS INSTITUTE was formed! We have become the trusted community resource for facilitating positive social change. We partner across all social sectors and strata to deliver innovative and effective solutions for our most complex social issues. Please join us on March 14th and bring your friends.
March 14th is called “PI Day” because of the math constant PI (3.14). Since P.I. is also our initials at Polis Institute and because we like math, Pie Charts, and the Pies you can eat, we have made that our day to say “Thank You” to our friends, release our annual report, and provide opportunities to support our programs. More than a fundraiser, this is an important event on the social calendar for celebrating progress overall and highlighting areas in which we can strengthen our efforts. Our goal is to have over 200 people join us at this year’s event.
Our annual State of the Community report has become a go to resource for Central Florida leaders throughout the year as it contains information on the health of area neighborhoods and the latest on social sector best practices. It also provides information on our organizational progress and ways you can get involved. We print 500 copies of the report and ensure 250 of those get in the hands of our most influential leaders. Past reports: 2017 Report, 2016 Report.
